Act Bio

Originally from Boston, MA, the Ernest Goodlife Band,
now established in Philadelphia, PA, blends
introspective lyrics with heartfelt acoustic driven
rock. Forged in the tradition of James Taylor,
Crowded House, Peter Gabriel, and the Allman Brothers Band, this group brings a instinctive sound that will challenge engaged listeners and entertain high energy crowds. Front man and principle songwriter Mark De Rose began performing on a dare while studying in Salamanca, Spain. He brings a relaxed vocal style reminiscent of a young James Taylor while his guitar parts are enriched with the melodicism and energy of bluegrass. Guitarist B.J. Block provides shimmering melodic rhythm parts and blues-infused solos that give the band a rock edge. Bassist Shannon Chwialkowski and drummer Mikey Lawrence have proved to be an unstoppable rhythm section, responsible for exciting crowds - a common occurrence at Ernest Goodlife shows.
