New Kind of Army is an alternative Christian rock band out North Eastern Oklahoma consisting of: vocalist Shane Treagesser, guitarist Jonathan Hodge, drummer Jesse Ringgold, and bassist David O‘Dell. They have a very diverse sound ranging from slow, melodic rock, to hardcore, and have been compared to bands such as Pillar and Kutless. New Kind of Army’s sole purpose is to share the love of Christ through their music, their witness, and their lives. They have been playing all over Oklahoma and Kansas since October 2003. NKA has shared the stage with such major label recording artists as Ever Stays Red, Seventh Day Slumber, and KJ-52. From their distinctive vocals, to their solid music backing, New Kind of Army is definitely a band you should check out.
